The John Lennon Sketchbook (1986)

In 1986, seventeen years after Yoko Ono and John Lennon’s discussions about love and six years after Lennon's death, Ono asked animator John Canemaker to make a short animated film using Lennon's drawings, music, and interviews. Considering Ono’s interest in combining art and philosophy, Lennon’s unique drawings, and the fact that their love story began with visual poetry, animation was the ideal way to remember him.
