Mansfield 1962 (2006)

In the summer of 1962, the Mansfield, Ohio Police Department secretly filmed men engaging in sexual activity in a public restroom beneath the city's main square. A cameraman concealed himself and recorded the events over three weeks. The resulting film was used to convict over 30 local men of sodomy. The Mansfield Police later released portions of the footage as an instructional film called *Camera Surveillance*, demonstrating how to conduct sting operations to film and arrest people suspected of "sex deviation." A degraded version of *Camera Surveillance* resurfaced online, and was reedited into *Mansfield 1962*, a silent, unsettling summary of the original.
