Tell Me About Bia (2012)

Andrea Franco's documentary, *Tell Me About Bia*, focuses on the life and films of her late grandfather, Bernardo Batievsky, a prominent Peruvian filmmaker of the 1970s. Batievsky is remembered for films like *Mirage* and *Cholo*, which featured the famous footballer Hugo “Cholo” Sotil. Through interviews with his grandmother, mother, and domestic workers, Franco explores his grandfather's life and work while attempting to preserve the scarce remaining copies of his films, threatened by poor film conservation in Peru. *Tell Me About Bia* offers intimate glimpses into the life of the deceased filmmaker, interspersed with clips from his movies and home videos.
