Description:
Shila (Yuki Kato), the daughter of a fisherman from around Lake Toba, hopes to attend her preferred high school in Medan. However, her mother wants her to attend a religious boarding school (pesantren). Shila voices her discontent to her father, who ultimately sides with her mother, leaving Shila feeling disappointed and straining their relationship. The pesantren offers a disciplined and active environment, making it challenging for Shila to adjust, and she experiences homesickness. Despite this, she holds onto her dream of becoming a novelist. Alongside her friends Manda (Febby Blink), Ayesha (Via Blink), and Icut (Vebby Palwinta), she discovers the true meaning of friendship, sharing their joys and sorrows in a special "pot of tears." Shila's time at the pesantren is filled with the typical colorful challenges of adolescence.
