Description:

When a nuclear explosion throws the Moon into orbit around Earth, Moonbase Alpha is left adrift with 300 people. A rescue team arrives from Earth in a faster-than-light ship, bringing hope of return. However, Commander John Koenig, recovering from a head injury, perceives the rescuers not as saviors, but as monstrous beings who have telepathically induced an illusion of an Earth celebration in everyone else on the base. The aliens are revealed to be desperate for radiation and plan to trick the Moonbase crew into detonating nuclear waste, destroying the Moon and everyone aboard. Koenig must expose this plot to save his people. This is based on the two-part episode "The Bringers Of Wonder" from the second series of Space: 1999.
