Landfill (2011)

Filmed on the dramatic cliffs of Beachy Head, this performance piece uses the location as a metaphor for humanity's environmental crisis. The film follows Paris and Hill as they slowly sink into a fissure near the cliff, engaging in lighthearted conversation while discussing environmental issues and personal details. Time-lapse photography shows the passage of time, with clouds and shadows shifting as the women descend. Their spirits remain upbeat even as their fate becomes inevitable. They continue talking until they disappear from view, their final words carried away by the wind. Ultimately, they vanish without a trace, leaving the viewer facing the cliff face, now prominently in the foreground.
