Moondog (2012)

MOONDOG blends documentary and fiction to explore the puzzling disappearance of Egyptian filmmaker Khairy Beshara, who is said to have transformed into a dog. His son, Robert, embarks on a search for him. The documentary portion of the film examines Khairy’s family life, including his daughter's wedding, his wife’s struggles with depression, his nephew’s resentment, his son-in-law's peculiar habits, his late brother-in-law's insights, his son's oddness, his sister's dedication to work, his mother's faith, his niece's embrace of American culture, and the story of an Egyptian-American taxi driver.
