Description:
Grandir follows the interwoven stories of seven young women across Southeast Asia. In Vietnam, six-year-old Prin lives in the Jarai community. In Myanmar, Myu Lat Awng, a teenager, resides in an IDP camp displaced by border conflict. Phout, a 14-year-old deaf and mute girl, lives in Thailand's elephant kingdom with a unique perspective. Homeless Pagna, 17, aspires to education and travel. Thookoloa, 21, seeks work in Bangkok without Thai papers. Juliet, 34, enjoys a life with her husband and four children in the Philippines. A former orphan from a Cebu landfill, she is now a primary school teacher striving for a better future. Their lives converge in a shared journey of hope and resilience.
