Sukces (2003)

The film chronicles the life of Mark Late, an ordinary man who unexpectedly disrupts the lives of those around him from infancy. Through Mark’s personal and humorous perspective, we witness Poland during the Gierek era, including the election of Pope John Paul II and the imposition of martial law, marked by the elusive promise of oranges from Cuba. At eighteen, after failing his theater school entrance exam, Mark enlists in the army only to desert. He finally gains admission to his desired school, where he finds a guiding actor, befriends the eccentric Victor, and falls in love with Marta, a fellow student.
