Description:
To evade two menacing men hired by his boss after a financial loss, a sly music manager named Donato impersonates a priest. Using a letter from his bishop uncle, he arrives at a village church and introduces himself to Father Dino as a new assistant. Father Dino's church is struggling; the townspeople favor the newer church led by the charismatic Father Gabriele. Donato’s arrival initially seems disastrous. He’s unprepared for his duties, unsure of how to perform even basic religious rituals. Father Dino grows frustrated with Donato’s lack of seriousness. However, Donato’s unconventional personality and open approach to faith unexpectedly begin to draw the congregation.
