Description:
From a young age, couturier Jean-Paul Gaultier dreamed of performing at the legendary Folies Bergere in Paris. This documentary follows the six months of preparation for his show there, as he asks, "But what story can I tell? Mine." The revue blends fashion with film, dance, and theater, offering a 40-year retrospective of the designer known for his bold and unconventional style. Famous for costumes in films like *The Fifth Element* and *The Cook, The Thief, His Wife & Her Lover*, and for Madonna's iconic cone bra, Gaultier also uses teddy bears and S&M elements in his designs. The show combines whimsical and witty moments, including a satirical sketch about Anna Wintour, with heartfelt tributes, such as one to his late partner Francis Menuge.
