Description:
In a 1940s world where women hold the power, cynical detective Velma Katz takes on a case from the powerful Biggy Biguns: recovering supposedly stolen diamonds. While investigating, Velma develops feelings for Rusty, Biggy's charming secretary. As Velma grapples with trusting Rusty, he reveals Biggy is using her to conceal a deal involving government secrets to the Russians. The situation escalates when Biggy discovers them together with the diamonds. To protect Velma, Rusty takes a bullet meant for her, dying in her arms.
