Description:
The Saikia family of Assam are incredibly wealthy. Their two sons are Sanjay (Sayaji Shinde) and Sunil Saikia (Sanjay Suri), with Sunil being the more gentle of the two, while Sanjay is quick-tempered and prone to mood swings. Hoping she can handle his temper, their parents arrange a marriage for Sanjay to Durga (Raveena Tandon), a woman from a lower caste and a poor family. Sanjay initially resists the union, but relents when his mother threatens to disown him. Durga marries Sanjay and anticipates a new life, only to face constant physical and emotional abuse from him from the very beginning.
