Description:
Chiyo, a 59-year-old mother of four, is facing homelessness after losing her husband seven years prior. Her eldest son, Ryoichi, offers her a place to live with his family, but she intends to become their live-in housekeeper, disappointing her children. Adding to the family tension, Chiyo reveals she has a marriage proposal from Kurosaki, a widower and friend of her late husband who owns a small company and has considerable savings. However, her two younger children strongly oppose the match, sparking arguments among the siblings. Meanwhile, Kurosaki tells his sister Namiko about his decision to remarry, and her anger flares when he's secretive about Chiyo. Determined to learn more, Namiko confronts Chiyo. At the same time, Kurosaki’s company is on the verge of bankruptcy.
