Description:
*Paid* is a film noir, in the style of French gangster movies, about people in the criminal world who now yearn for a better life. It’s also a love story between Paula Gireaux, a 28-year-old Parisian call girl working in Amsterdam, and Michel Angelo, a 30-year-old hit man, whose feelings are stirred when a six-year-old Bolivian boy enters their lives. The boy gives them hope and inspires them to pursue a new life together. But as Paula and Michel try to escape their criminal past, Paula discovers she's bound by a deal with a powerful English drug lord, Rudi Dancer, 55. This deal, initially irresistible, now threatens their future. They eventually find freedom, but not without significant consequences.
