Dreams and Shadows (2009)

Billy, a teenage outsider, struggles to find purpose. He works tirelessly at a local burger restaurant, returning home to a father who is paralyzed and lost in alcohol-fueled despair, his own hopes for happiness long gone. Billy tries to connect with his father, but finds himself blocked by years of pain and regret. Increasingly frustrated, Billy desperately wants to escape the bleak life that has consumed his father, and it feels like it’s closing in on him too.
