Description:
Widower Sudhangsu is about to marry Soma, the daughter of Sir Haraprasad. He tells everyone that his first wife, Kalpana, died by suicide on a Burma railway track, claiming she was mentally unstable. But during the wedding ceremony, a local lawyer, Suren Banerjee, arrives with a woman who insists she is Kalpana and accuses Sudhangsu of bigamy. Sudhangsu vehemently denies this, calling her an imposter. Meanwhile, a mysterious man named Samadder breaks into Sudhangsu's house and steals ornaments belonging to the deceased Kalpana.
