Description:
This film follows a journey through London using vintage 1973 tube stock. The train travels from the city center into North London suburbs, continuing to Cockfosters in Hertfordshire after emerging from a tunnel at Arnos Grove. The route between Acton Town and Hammersmith is notable for its express service, unlike other tube lines where the District line provides local stops. The journey then returns to Acton Town, where the viewer boards another 1973 train for a driver's perspective of the Heathrow Airport branch, running via Terminal 4 and ending at Terminals 1, 2 & 3. This line features a rare quadruple-track section and offers views of four closed stations. The film also visits Aldwych, the terminal station of a branch line that closed in 1994.
