Description:
Vinh, adopted by a wealthy Swiss couple with two older children, remained connected to his Vietnamese roots. The adoptive family regularly sent postcards to Vinh’s mother in Vietnam, assuring her of the loving home she always wanted for him. Now, as Vinh prepares to marry, this wedding offers a chance for his mother and uncle Dac to visit. However, their arrival is met with dismay. The adoptive family’s parents have divorced acrimoniously, the father is broke, the sister is distant, and the brother withdrawn – their picture-perfect family shattered. Can anything be done to soften the inevitable disappointment for Vinh’s mother and uncle Dac when they uncover the truth?
