Description:
Seven years ago, Namo, a Beijing installation artist, suffered a stroke. After a long recovery, he travels to Jeju Island for an exhibition. There, he meets Moonsoo, who organized the show and introduces him to the island's community. This prompts Namo to reflect on his past and begin to understand the complexities of his life. He confronts his wife's sudden departure, Moonsoo’s lingering resentment from events seven years prior, the town mayor's suicide after revealing a lifelong secret to Namo, and grapples with the meaning behind his exhibition, "The Dog Eating Shadows"—a work intended to depict a creature consuming people's hopes by devouring their shadows. Returning to Beijing, Namo finally confronts the root of his confusion.
