Description:
Giuseppe De Metrio, 75, worked in Geneva for 30 years with the Broyer company. After retiring, he returned to his family in Puglia, Italy, where his 7-year-old blind granddaughter, Carla, lives. The family hopes for a cornea transplant to restore Carla's sight. Following a heart attack, Giuseppe decides to seek help from his former boss, Mr. Broyer, to obtain the funds for the operation, fulfilling an old promise between them. What starts as a quick 48-hour trip for Giuseppe and Carla to Switzerland unexpectedly becomes a journey beyond their wildest expectations.
