About Baghdad (2005)

"About Baghdad" is the first film to explore Iraq since the 2003 fall of the Ba'ath regime. It prioritizes the perspectives of ordinary Iraqis from diverse backgrounds – social, economic, and ethnic – offering a rare look beyond the common pro-US/pro-Saddam narratives prevalent in media coverage. The film presents Iraqis sharing their experiences of pain, complexity, and suffering endured through decades of tyranny, war, sanctions, and the current occupation.
