Christy – A New Beginning (2001)

Following a typhoid outbreak, the town of Cutter Gap faces a new challenge when a storm strikes. In *A New Beginning*, the second part of a series, schoolteacher Christy (Lauren Lee Smith) becomes stranded in the woods with Dr. MacNeill (Stewart Finlay-McLennan), prompting a dangerous rescue attempt by her fiancé David (James Waterston). Though the town survives the storm with minimal damage, many are profoundly affected. Christy, in particular, reevaluates her feelings for Dr. MacNeill, leading her to question her impending marriage to David.
