Description:
Each year on January 4th, Shobei's soba restaurant offers "Sanada Soba"—spicy soba noodles topped with grated daikon radish. The dish is so intensely spicy that even regular customers avoid it. But one year, a stranger tries the Sanada Soba and declares it tastes familiar. He then makes it a yearly tradition to visit on January 4th just to eat it. Shobei grows fond of this unusual customer, whom he meets only once a year.
