Travel Queeries (2009)

Travel Queeries is a documentary film exploring the culture, art, and activism of radical LGBTQ+ individuals in modern Europe. Using personal interviews and footage of performances, festivals, and community spaces, the film examines queer identity as a political force in 21st-century Europe. It highlights unconventional actions and projects that challenge the commercialization of gay culture, revealing a vibrant subculture often unseen by the wider LGBTQ+ community. The film features stories about the first Pride in Serbia, Berlin's drag scene, a queer anarchist group at London Pride, and Barcelona's queer squatters organizing the 8th Queeruption festival. Through these narratives, Travel Queeries offers an intimate look into the lives of those operating outside the mainstream.
