Description:
This Canadian documentary follows two young filmmakers as they navigate the Toronto Film Festival, seeking to pitch their film concept, "The Dawn," to prominent celebrities. The film centers on a Mafia don who undergoes hernia surgery only to unexpectedly undergo a sex change. During the 1996 festival, the filmmakers approach Roger Ebert, Norman Jewison (during a busy press conference), Eric Stoltz, Al Pacino, and others with limited success. Undeterred, they travel to Hollywood, where they receive advice from Arthur Hiller and Neil Simon, and ultimately find an agent who shows interest in their project.
