Description:
Following a violent storm, the curmudgeonly Captain Eksteroog is stranded on a deserted island. To pass the time, he decides to hunt for treasure buried by his longtime rival, Zilvertand. He soon discovers he isn't alone; Reus, a towering man with five children and their dog Smikkel, are also on the island. Eksteroog and Reus capture Smikkel and force the children to search for the treasure. Separately, Piet, Berend, Stien, and Steven stumble upon an uncharted island and investigate, ultimately finding themselves on the same island as Captain Eksteroog. After locating the children, they decide to help them find the treasure. But what happens if they succeed, and Captain Eksteroog still refuses to let them leave?
