Niyazi is a thief living in a small Aegean town with his brother Hasan, who is preoccupied with gambling and his girlfriend, and their mother Gülizar. Niyazi also works driving children in a classic car at circumcision ceremonies. One night, Azrael arrives with the unexpected purpose of ending Niyazi's life. By winning a game of backgammon from Azrael, Niyazi buys himself a week. With little time remaining, he resolves to make the most of his final days. Meanwhile, an unlikely romance blossoms between Azrael and Gülizar.
