Plum Tree Zoom (2002)

Shot on Super 8 and converted to 16mm using optical slowing and stretch printing on Kodak 7272 film, the film features windblown plum tree leaves captured up close with handheld, full zoom. Filmed in Summer 1999 at Dickins Farm near Sutton, South Yorkshire, it incorporates simple, repeating phrases from Bartok's Mikrokosmos, played on an old piano, mirroring the print’s rough and imperfect quality. The film was re-filmed from a wall using obsolete DV Cam.
