9/11 (2001)

9/11 is a firsthand, deeply unsettling record of the September 11th attacks and the immediate aftermath, captured by the artist. As the tragedy unfolds, Tony Oursler films from his apartment just blocks from the former World Trade Center and on the ground in Lower Manhattan. Oursler began filming after the first building was struck and continued recording as the second tower was hit. His camera also documents the reactions of New Yorkers and tourists at the site in the days that follow. 9/11 offers viewers a very personal and immediate perspective on these events.
