Over Their Dead Bodies: Tantura, the Forgotten Massacre (2008)

The film presents accounts from former residents of Tantura, a Palestinian Arab fishing village near Haifa. In May 1948, Jewish Haganah forces attacked the village as part of a wider effort to displace its Arab population. The attack resulted in numerous Palestinian deaths and imprisonments, forcing the survivors to flee to neighboring villages or become refugees in countries like Lebanon, Jordan, and Syria. Later, Kibbutz Nahsholim and Moshav Dor were established on the village's former land. A mass grave is suspected to be hidden beneath a parking lot, but local residents oppose further investigation.
