Yokwe Bartowe (2010)

Yokwe Bartowe tells the story of Lijiamao, a beautiful young woman who is kidnapped by a malevolent demon bird. According to legend, the 'kwolej' bird exists solely to bring sorrow. Lijiamao's brother, Bartowe, is 20 years old and was watching her while she swam in the lagoon when she disappeared. His mother blames him for her vanishing. Despite the widespread belief that Lijiamao drowned, her body was never found in the shallow water, leaving everyone perplexed. Only Lijiamao's closest friend, Tili, refuses to accept she is dead, much to the disapproval of her principal, teacher, and peers.
