Description:
This offbeat comedy from writer and director Doris Dörrie follows Otto (Christian Ulmen) and Leo (Simon Verhoeven), two German men who run a successful business importing koi fish from Japan. During a business trip, they meet Ida (Alexandra Maria Lara), a German fashion design student who joins them. Unexpectedly, Ida becomes drawn to Otto, not Leo. After discovering she's pregnant with Otto's child, they marry. Back in Germany, Ida tries to integrate into the koi business by designing koi-themed scarves. However, her presence creates tension between Otto and Leo, particularly as Leo starts his own koi breeding business with his new wife, Yoko (Young-Shin Kim).
