Description:
Mikko, a middle-aged municipal architect, seeks refuge from his unsatisfying job and marriage by pouring his energy into renovating a historic seaside villa. During a summer party, Mikko and his wife Liisa host old friends: Erik, a divorced intellectual who becomes overly friendly with Liisa; and Hessu, a boisterous building contractor with his new, attractive wife Pirre. As the evening progresses and drinks flow, their conversations become increasingly heated. A surprise arrival – Mikko and Liisa's daughter Jonna and her husband Pete – disrupts the party, triggering a public argument between father and daughter.
