Cinepolis, the Film Capital (2003)

According to Steve Seid of the Pacific Film Archive, perhaps Cuevas' most unsettling film depicts a subtle takeover of daily life through carefully crafted images that go largely unseen. This invasion takes the form of a completely branded consumer world that cheerfully mixes fast food with fantasy. In response, Cuevas uses the only available defense: images of the aggressor, and the aggressor’s own imagery.
