Description:
On July 10, 1816, a young journalist secretly enters General Miranda's cell in La Carraca. The journalist urgently requests an interview with the general, hoping to spread his anti-colonial ideas in a clandestine newspaper published in Cádiz. Miranda, a seasoned figure in international geopolitics, is wary of the impulsive young man. However, the journalist gradually earns his trust, and Miranda agrees to the interview. This marks a retrospective journey through the life of the general, recounting key moments from his formative years as a young man, a seducer, a soldier, an enlightened thinker, a deserter, an independence activist, a politician, a warrior, a spy, a smuggler, a heretic, a conspirator, and a precursor. The narrative aims to reveal the full scope of Francisco de Miranda's character, perhaps Venezuela's most universal figure.
