Description:
A property developer relentlessly tries to acquire land belonging to a pastor, repeatedly losing money in attempts to outmaneuver him. The developer's ambitious building project threatens the peaceful life of the shepherd, Lazio Baldo, aiming to transform the landscape for profit. Local resistance is countered by invitations to enjoy the hospitality of the developer and his affluent home. However, this proves insufficient, so the developer's wife, Greta, and their daughter Paola, a student activist, are brought in. Baldo receives several favors from the women, gradually envisioning a different future. A pivotal moment occurs during a game of cards, where Baldo decisively defeats the developer, becoming his equal partner.
