Description:
Gianni Versace’s life was a dramatic rise and fall: from humble beginnings in Southern Italy, he became one of the world's most influential and sought-after fashion designers, only to be murdered on the steps of his Miami home by his lover. He lived a lavish life, frequently hosting celebrities like Madonna, Michael Jackson, and Princess Diana in his opulent villas filled with Renaissance art. Simultaneously, Versace maintained a hidden life involving connections to the Mafia and individuals involved in sadomasochistic activities. The filmmakers argue that his death was the defining celebrity killing of an era captivated by fame.
