Description:
During the rainy season in the Tibetan highlands, Wangdrak is the only boy in his village without rain boots, and the other children make fun of him. His father lacks the money to buy them and is preoccupied with a farmers' dispute. Secretly, his mother trades a goat skin for a new pair of light blue boots. However, when Wangdrak wears them to school the next day, the children laugh because the rain has stopped and the sun is shining. At least he has his best friend Lhamo. This film, set in the vast mountains of Tibet, gently tells the story of a young boy’s aspirations constrained by traditional rural life.
