Description:
Yashoda (Farida Jalal) is forced to marry a man with mental illness and gives birth to a child. Tragically, her husband kills himself and the baby, leaving her heartbroken and isolated. Her brother, Bhanu (Anupam Kher), is consumed by anger and bitterness over this devastating loss and vows revenge. Each year, he arranges a bullock-cart race for his employee and friend, Mahipal (Arvind Swamy), to defeat his sister's in-laws, and Mahipal always wins. Bhanu, in his mid-forties, remains unmarried, though he once pursued a village woman (Aruna Irani) who still harbors feelings for him.
