While methods of managing this bleeding have evolved with major historical events, 2015 saw a turning point. NPR designated it "The Year of the Period," sparking a "Free Bleeding Movement" in Korea. Numerous companies introduced new products, and a popular YouTuber reviewing sanitary products garnered over a million viewers. Politicians began discussing menstruation openly. Information barriers crumbled, empowering women to define their own approach to bleeding.
