Description:
"The Desert of the Desert" is a documentary film about a long, little-known colonial conflict and the difficult situation of the Sahrawi nomads of Western Sahara since Morocco invaded in 1975. Filmed in 2014 in the Saharawi territories and refugee camps in Algeria, the film follows the Sahrawis' fight to reclaim their homeland and the difficult reality of a nomadic people living in confinement. During filming, the crew traveled through a dangerous desert and were caught in the conflict when their vehicle was damaged by a landmine near the Atlantic coast.
