Pangira (2011)

"Pangira" explores the rapid transformation of Indian villages. Traditional rural hospitality and a peaceful village life are now relics of the past. From natural resources to local politics, the Indian village is undergoing constant change. Mismanagement of water for drinking and farming, and the devastating destruction of natural resources through deforestation, are commonplace. While development occurs, politics and corruption have become deeply embedded within the system through bodies like Jilha Parishads and Panchayat Samitees. Ultimately, the hardworking farmer, the common man, still doesn't receive fair compensation for his efforts.
