Description:

Dingus Magee, a notorious outlaw, targets Hoke Birdsill for a robbery while traveling to San Francisco. Hoke seeks refuge in Yerkey's Hole, where Belle Knops, the town's mayor and owner of the local brothel, makes him sheriff. She attempts to manipulate Hoke into inciting conflict with Native Americans to distract the soldiers at a nearby fort from Little Big Horn. Meanwhile, Dingus tries to create further chaos and becomes involved with Anna, a young Native American woman. The film satirizes the romanticized notion of the "Code of the West," exaggerating its ideals to expose their absurdity.
