Description:
This program documents the physical growth of a baby, tracking several young women through their pregnancies. Using detailed computer animation based on ultrasound images and graphics, it illustrates the child's development from conception to birth. The program shows how, for instance, a four-week-old embryo is no larger than a grain of rice, growing to the size of a walnut at eight weeks with all major organs – liver, lungs, brain, and bones – developing.
