Coffin Joe Born Again (2015)

Legendary filmmaker Jose Mojica Marins, along with Marcelo Colaiacovo and Nilson Primitivo, crafted this experimental horror film. Following two heart attacks in 2014, the Brazilian master returns with new footage and an original script. These rare images were discovered by Marcelo Colaiacovo during his thirteen years researching the Coffin Joe archives. He found several film reels of unprocessed 35mm material from the 1970s and 1990s, some of which were used to make this short film. Colaiacovo and Nilson Primitivo (known as the King of the Brazilian Underground) then revived these treasures using an experimental processing technique in Resistência Filmes laboratory.
