The French Guy (2005)

Ann Marie Fleming's black comedy follows a French artist trying to complete his masterpiece, constantly distracted by strange noises from his neighbor's apartment. Elizabeth Murray, recently released from the hospital after emergency brain surgery, is disoriented and emotionally altered. She finds the artist on the beach, equally confused, and takes him home to care for him. An allergic reaction forces Elizabeth to seal her apartment in plastic, and a disastrous incident with the artist leads to a violent, noisy series of events fueled by misguided care.
