George (2008)

*George* is an exploration of my filmmaking process, stripping it down to its core elements. While looking has always been a part of my documentary work, this film centers on the act of observation itself. It began with the west end of Glasgow, my birthplace and current home, and its connection to a flat in Garnethill where we filmed. The walk connecting these places, particularly through the St. George’s X area, is central to the film. It examines the interplay between sound and image, exploring acoustic events and architectural details.
