Description:
In the Jeolla-do village of Dung-rye, a man named Dung-rye dies on his honeymoon the very first night after becoming a Buddhist monk. His widow, Madalpi, lives as a mourning widow. Madalpi, a local barber unaware of Dung-rye's past, is overcome by desire and takes her to various places – the mountains, the river, and a karaoke room. She is taken advantage of, and her life is ruined. Madalpi, ignorant of the full circumstances, is consumed by her instincts and despises herself. The situation culminates in her death as a victim. Years later, Jinmu, Dung-rye's first love, appears in her life. Because of her past suffering, a new relationship begins to form.
