Fair And White: Parts I, II, III and Extra (2010)

"FAIR AND WHITE" is a chain of beauty salons in Paris that primarily serves an African-French customer base. The signs seem to cause no reaction. While visiting Pip Chodorov in the Latin Quarter, I encountered a cluster of these salons. I had my 3-D camera, with two small Vado cameras side-by-side for stereo imaging. France has a law against photographing people without their permission – a good law, really. And I broke it, and I’ll break any law that restricts memory, whether it's physical or mechanical. -Jacobs
